** THE POSITIONYour overall function is to ensure the quality of SVC trips and itineraries and be the first line of communication with customers, suppliers, guides and SVC Staff. The Bookings Officer reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager and to the Director. S/he will also maintain close contact and a good professional relationship with the finance and operations departments.** Responsibilities- Arrange tours for customers; manage tour correspondence / communication via telephone, website, email and in person when necessary.- Greet visitors at the center and inform them of tour options.- Book service providers as needed.- Liaise with local tour operators. .- Coordinate guides with booked tours well in advance.- Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports- Work with guides to prepare equipment necessary for tours.- Receive payments; prepare and close cash advances for tours.- Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager and the Director to better promote SVC trips to the tourist market in Cambodia.- Oversee the preparation and sale of tourism-related products.- Together with Guide Training Manager, coordinate the guide allocation and clients’ needs at various situations.** Some work will be required outside of regular office hours.
